The artist having Bulgarian origin, spent her childhood in Israel, continued then her studies at the "Ecole des Beaux-Arts" in Paris. Recently she tried in her pictorial work to give the silhouettes a form, that emerge from the confines of dreaming, symbolism and the concrete world.  When they appear to her, they are familiar on the one hand, but at the same time strange and close on the other hand. Esti Lévy tries to decorate them with colors, signs and text allusions that belong to different cultures. Ornaments that might withstand the passage of time, since the appearance of colors, letters and symbols in people's eyes. She gives these figures and environments a transparency, a life, an energy, by painting their inner and outer movement, by giving them a rhythm, by animating the canvas with the juxtaposition of colored masses, fragments of her engravings and graphic elements borrowed from our time or the past.
